Sometimes, starting or finishing writing projects feels impossible when you're a neuro-spicy writer. This class will leave you with practical tools to help you find motivation and complete projects even when your ADHD feels unmanageable.
The focus of the ADHD writing course will be to provide neurodivergent writers with practical tools to help them in their writing process. The first hour of the course would discuss the basics: what is ADHD, how it manifests as a writer, and some of the struggles you might face. We would also explore the gifts of ADHD and how those can be utilized as a writer.
In the second hour of the course, I would provide a toolkit for writers that includes practical, everyday tips and tricks for neurodivergent writers. This would allow the writers to feel successful in their craft, working with their ADHD rather than against it, as so much of the writing advice out there is meant for neurotypical folks.
Finally, there would be time for introductions, questions, and anecdotes, so the presentation could be very interactive and generative. People with ADHD often love to share their own stories to help themselves better understand the world around them.
