Join Kailey and Tamar for a special edition of The Write Together Retreat!

Kailey and Tamar’s writing partnership began in 2020 (right here at Write or Die!) and they have since completed multiple drafts of their novels and queried them together. To celebrate over a year of running The Write Together Retreats, Kailey and Tamar are hosting a special version where they will pull back the veil on what it truly takes to get your book done, discussing topics such as:

• how they developed writing routines

• how they actually wrote a whole draft of their novels

• how they approached revision

• how they leaned on their partnership for creative endurance

• how they continue to support each other even though they are now in different places in their journeys. 

Kailey will answer questions about her querying journey and Tamar will discuss how to approach new projects.

And of course, we will write together! 

Get the real truth on navigating the writing process with trust and discovery, regardless of where you are in your journey.

Bring your questions and leave with practical tools and resources Kailey and Tamar have used in their own work.

This retreat includes:

• 2 - 35-minute live writing sessions over Zoom

• Breaks in between sessions

• 1-hour conversation and Q&A with Kailey and Tamar

• Resources and author notes sent via email at the end of the retreat

Tamar Mekredijian is working on her first novel, which was long-listed for The Masters Review 2021 Novel Excerpt Contest.She teaches English at various universities, focusing on the rhetorical mode of Narrative. Her essays appear at Coffee and Crumbs and Literary Mama. She is the fiction editor of Write or Die Magazine and co-creator of the Write Together Retreats. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
