Ever wanted an excuse to fuse your love of Britney, Whitney and Mariah into your creative writing? Here’s your chance.

Using the lyrics, lives, and lovers of beloved popstars, we’ll write using inspiration from singers like Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Christina Aguilera and more. This class is designed to be fun, boost creativity, and generate pages. All genres and levels are welcome. Whether you're writing-curious or a published author, in this live 2-hour workshop, you'll walk away with the start to a piece or two. Optional chance to share an excerpt or line of your fresh work. Let's liven up your creativity with somebody who loves you.

In this 2 hour workshop, we will—

  • Explore the ways in which techniques of pop music can be harnessed to shape compelling stories out of real-life material

  • Read examples of lyrics and life stories from pop singers

  • Draft new works of our own in a supportive community to generate pages (all genres)

  • Share a line or excerpt from your work (optional)

  • Provide feedback about the course in an anonymous survey

Workshop Takeaway

  • An understanding of how to use your passions as inspiration

  • Find connections between multi-genre

  • Infuse some fun and creativity into your writing

Additional info

If you can't attend this class live, it will be recorded! Students will receive a recording the day after the class, and it will be available for 30 days.
